Culturally Tailored Nutrition
A dietitian who understands your table
Most nutrition advice asks you to give up the food you grew up with. We do the opposite. Every plan is built around your culture, your cuisine, and your traditions, by an Accredited Practising Dietitian who genuinely understands them.
Book a ConsultationNutrition That Respects Where You Come From
If you have ever been handed a meal plan full of foods you don't eat, cooked in ways your family never would, you already know the problem with most dietetic advice. It assumes everyone eats the same way. It treats your cultural foods as something to replace rather than something to build around.
At Santé by Sana, the approach is the opposite. Your background, your family's traditions, and the dishes you genuinely love are the starting point of your plan, not an inconvenience to work around. The result is nutrition advice you can actually follow, because it fits the life and the kitchen you already have.
Based in Western Sydney, with clinics in North Rocks and Prospect and telehealth across Australia, the practice works with a richly multicultural community every day. That experience matters: building a genuinely Lebanese, Indian, Chinese, Greek or Sri Lankan plan takes real familiarity with those cuisines, not a generic template with the names changed.
Cuisines We Build Around
The practice has built a genuine library of cultural dishes across the cuisines it knows deeply, the meals families actually cook, not token substitutions. Plans are built from this library around the dishes and ingredients you actually enjoy:
Mediterranean
The world's most studied way of eating, and likely already close to how your family cooks. Olive oil, legumes, vegetables, fish and wholegrains.
Middle Eastern
Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Egyptian and more. Mujadara, tabouli, labneh, fattoush, grilled meats and fresh herbs, balanced for your goals.
Indian & South Asian
Dals, vegetable curries, wholegrain rotis and balanced thalis, including vegetarian patterns, adjusted for blood sugar, weight or gut health.
Chinese & East Asian
Stir-fries, steamed dishes, tofu, vegetables and rice, structured to support your health goals without losing the flavours you love.
Sri Lankan & Filipino
Rice-based and coconut-rich cuisines built into balanced, goal-aligned plans that still taste like home.
Greek & Vietnamese
From Greek classics to fresh Vietnamese dishes, plans that honour the cuisine while meeting your nutritional needs.
"The healthiest way of eating is not a foreign one. For most families, it is a refined version of the food they already know."
Religious & Cultural Requirements, Understood
Faith and culture shape how, when and what many people eat. These are not preferences to be brushed aside, they are commitments. Plans are built to honour them seamlessly, including:
Halal & Ramadan
Halal-aligned plans year round, and tailored guidance for Ramadan, structuring suhoor and iftar to maintain energy, hydration and health through the fasting month.
Christian Fasting Traditions
Lent, Holy Week, and Maronite and Orthodox fasting periods, with plans that respect these traditions while keeping nutrition balanced.
Hindu Vegetarianism
Vegetarian patterns built for complete nutrition, ensuring adequate protein, iron and key nutrients within your dietary principles.
Alongside these, standard requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and low-FODMAP are all accommodated. If something matters to you, simply share it during your consultation.
Why Cultural Fit Changes Outcomes
This is not only about respect, though respect matters. It is about what actually works. A plan built around foods you enjoy and already know how to cook is a plan you will keep following long after the novelty of a generic diet wears off.
When food feels familiar, adherence improves. When the whole family can eat the same meals, change becomes sustainable instead of isolating. And when a dietitian understands the cultural context of your eating, the advice is accurate, not guesswork. That combination, familiarity, family inclusion and genuine understanding, is what turns a plan into lasting change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to give up my cultural foods to be healthy?
No, and that is the whole point. Your cultural foods are the starting point of your plan. The goal is to build a balanced, goal-aligned plan around the dishes you already love, not to replace them with unfamiliar food.
Can you really build a plan around my specific cuisine?
Yes. The practice works with Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Indian, Chinese, Sri Lankan, Filipino, Greek, Vietnamese and other cuisines regularly. Plans are built around your actual food traditions, not generic substitutions.
Can you accommodate halal, Ramadan, or fasting traditions?
Yes. Halal-aligned plans, Ramadan structuring, and Christian fasting traditions (including Maronite and Orthodox) are all accommodated, along with Hindu vegetarianism and other requirements. Just share what matters to you during your consultation.
Will the plan work for my whole family?
Yes, and it is designed that way. Plans are built so the meals work for the whole household, so you are not cooking separate dinners or eating differently from the people you share a table with.
Where are you located?
The practice has clinics in North Rocks (NSW 2151) and Prospect (NSW 2148), serving the wider Parramatta, Blacktown and Hills areas, with telehealth consultations available across Australia.
